Tired of the same old, same old, from Hollywood? Enter the wide wonderful world of foreign films! I don't make any claims to being a film critic, or an expert, but, I know what I like, and would like to introduce you to some of the movies I've watched, promotional trailers and film clips. I only post things I've actually watched, and only things that I have been able to buy in local stores or online on sites like ebay and amazon. I've tried to put a video clip with each mention, sometimes the best clips have foreign or no subtitles, but that doesn't mean that the dvd copies available don't have English subtitles, just that they weren't available in the best clips.
* Expand your entertainment horizons. If you feel like you've seen everything at Blockbuster, you'll be pleasantly surprised to find scores of movies in your favorite genres just waiting to entertain you.
* If you see something that interests you, then hunt it down on Ebay, Amazon, etc. Some will be easier than others to find. Foreign films are often cheaper than US movies, because they don't have the audience here to demand a higher price. Just remember if you buy, buy Region 1, or non-region.
* Don't be afraid of subtitles, they're your friend, and you'll soon forget they're there. I prefer subtitles to dubbing, which never seem synched or authentic to me.
* Enjoy new favorites! Browse through reviews of new and old favorites. The good thing about exploring this new supply of entertainment is that if you're new to foreign films, then they're ALL new releases to you!
